At a “creative campus.” At Tri-C. Using The Epic of Gilgamesh as a starting point, Tri-C’s “Project Gilgamesh” asks guest artist Daniel Bernard Roumain to create a contemporary response to an ancient story.
Roumain’s music and the story of Gilgamesh will inspire classroom explorations into the text and its themes and spark artistic projects campus-wide during the 2011-2012 academic year. Project Gilgamesh is a multi-year, nationally funded, college-wide collaboration among Tri-C faculty, students, administration, guest artists, and partnering organizations such as The Cleveland Museum of Art and Great Lakes Theater.
